Information about your options, how child support works and how the Child Support Agency (CSA) can help is on the CSA website. More information about child support payments is provided by Centrelink.

Free legal advice

Free legal advice is provided by the Child Support Unit. This unit is independent of the Child Support Agency and they can talk with you about:

  • parentage disputes
  • DNA testing
  • help to complete Child Support Agency forms
  • changing your child support assessment in special circumstances 
  • child support agreements
  • objections and appeals
  • maintenance payments for adult children (over 18) 
  • overseas child support
  • spousal maintenance.

To make a phone or face to face appointment with the Child Support Unit phone the child support help line on 8463 3576 or email childsupportunit@sa.gov.au. Face to face appointments take place at:

  • Adelaide
  • Elizabeth
  • Noarlunga
  • Mount Barker.
