Public transport companion card

Companions of people with permanent and severe disabilities can apply to travel free on Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams using the Plus-one-free companion card.

How to apply

Step 1: Download and complete the application for transport assistance

Help from a general practitioner, medical specialist or mobility instructor may be required to complete the application.

Applications must be accompanied by one passport-sized colour photograph (head and shoulders), which must be certified by a doctor or Justice of the Peace.

Step 2: Return the completed application form, photograph and any other supporting documents required to:

You will be notified by mail as to whether your application is successful.

Successful applicants will receive information explaining how to use the card and a photo-identification card that must be carried when using public transport.
